Ocean Front Beach cottages in Laguna Beach are older historic homes that were built in the early 1910's to 1920's and located directly on the beach front. These types of homes still exist and rarely come on the market. A perfect example is a new listing that just came on the market and located in the Laguna Village area. It has been family owned for nearly 95 years which is truly incredible!
I had a chance to preview the home today and it was really a unique piece of real estate. The property sits on Coast Hwy and has two separate parcels that consist of an apartment and garages that front Coast Hwy and are zoned commercial. Laguna Beach is a haven for older historic homes and 2012 has provided us with a rich inventory of these older historic homes, especially those built in the 1910's. Currently there are three homes on the market that were built in 1910 and 1915 that still retain the original charm when they were first built. In fact, 154 Pearl St boasts to be the oldest home in Laguna Beach that was built in 1910 and sits across the street from the ocean bluff in the heart of the Laguna Village. We love looking at historic homes, especially here in Laguna Beach, California!
