South Laguna Historic Homes

South Laguna has a nice selection of older historic properties that were built in the 1920's and 1930's.  Some of the oldest homes and neighborhoods exist in this area like the Three Arch Bay gated community that dates back to the early 1920's.  Other notable spots in South Laguna like Point Place offer coastline views that look directly below at Thousand Steps Beach.  As you can expect these historic properties were built in the most prime spots with many of these historic gems built on the ocean front and have commanding views of the Pacific Ocean like the famous Lighthouse house as pictured below.

One of the most exciting new listings to come up is the historic Crawford Ranch home in South Laguna.  The home was built in 1927 and then featured in 1931 by L.A. Times for it's unique setting on two parcels of land that overlook the ocean.  The home has not been for sale for over 50 years and was listed 3 days ago at $2,975,000.  Some of the lowest priced historic homes in this area are currently priced starting at $895,000 for a one bedroom house that features 700 square feet of living space and located approximately three blocks to the beach.  Slightly large two and three bedrooms historic homes can be purchased for $1,295,000.  Select older homes will also be registered with the Mills Act which gives historic home owners added tax benefits for taking care of the unique and rare properties.
