Most Expensive Laguna Beach Homes Sold in 2021

Laguna Beach saw some wonderful sales that took place in communities like Irvine Cove, Woods and the Laguna Village area.  The biggest problem this year was the lack of inventory which caused buyers to act quickly when new listings came on the market.  The higher end of real estate still takes a little bit longer to sell than homes in the one to two million range but still sold relatively quickly when compared with previous years.  The highest sale this year took place at 2620 Riviera Drive which was located in the gated community of Irvine Cove in North Laguna.  This is one of my favorite neighborhoods since it has one of the most beautiful private beaches in all of Laguna Beach.  2620 Riviera Drive sold for $24,250,000 on 5/18/21 after being on the market for a total of 50 days.  It was originally listed at $30,000,000 and featured a total of 6 bedrooms with an approximate 8,600 square feet of living with space and a 4 car attached garage according to our multiple listing service.  One of the biggest selling points for this home was it's located on a high elevation in the Abalone Point section of Irvine Cove which offered wonderful ocean views from this location.

The next highest sale took place at 1901 Ocean Drive which is located in the Laguna Village area of Laguna Beach.  If you are familiar with Laguna Beach then you know that Ocean Drive offers some amazing beach front homes that overlook the Pacific Ocean.  The advantage point that 1901 Ocean Drive offered was truly unique with unobstructed coastline views from inside your home.  The three bedroom home sold for $23,000,000 on 3/30/21 was only on the market for 8 days.  I would venture to say this is one of the premier ocean front homes I have seen in Laguna Beach and I'm not surprised in the quick sale.

The next highest sale took place at 139 Moss Street which is a historic gem here in Laguna Beach.  The five bedroom home offered over 4,300 square feet of living space and was originally built in 1917 according to our multiple listing service.  The property was listed for $21,900,000 and sold for $21 million dollars the first day it came on the market.  The ocean front location of the home was truly unique and would be hard to match in today's market where the value of land is so valuable in Laguna Beach.  The location is in the premier Woods Cove neighborhood and offered a private ocean front parcel with forever ocean and sunset views.
