Laguna Beach Ocean View Condos

The Laguna Seacliff building sits on a rock formation that is set out in the Pacific Ocean and offers two bedroom condos that can have some of the best oceanfront views to be found in Laguna Beach, California.  The condo complex was originally built in 1960 and at the time was a premier place to live on the water.  Situated in the plush North Laguna Beach neighborhood and on the oceanfront street "Cliff Drive" is a truly unique spot.  With local building codes and Coastal commission regulations a building like this could not be built in today's age.

The Laguna Lido is one of the most expensive condo buildings in all of Laguna Beach and the best place to find oceanfront and ocean view condos for sale.  Located directly on the sand at 31755 Coast Highway are two stand alone buildings located on both the upper and lower level.  The two buildings are separated by the community pool as pictured below.  Condos rarely come on the market in this complex, especially in the lower level where condos have recently been sold up to $3 million dollars earlier this year.

The Laguna Royale building is located at 31423 Coast Hwy in Laguna Beach and is one of the largest condo buildings to be found in this small beach town. The condos offer a wide range of ocean views depending on where the condo is located. The complex is located directly on the ocean front and offers a total of 78 units. The building is secure with a guard gated entrance, subterranean underground parking and an on site property manager.

It’s important to understand the layout of the building and how different locations will offer different views. There are two upper levels that are recessed back from the lower level unit with a large roof top patio area that is part of the view from these upper units. The Table Rock beach area is located in the South Laguna Bluffs area is one of the best kept secrets for finding incredible ocean view properties in Laguna Beach, California.  Located off Pacific Coast Highway is a small street known as Table Rock Drive.  This is a very small and winding street that doesn't invite many cars to pass through unless one lives in this area.  The area get's it's name from the oceanfront condo complex known as Table Rock that sits directly on a large parcel on bedrock that jets out into the ocean.  These are million dollar plus condos that rarely come on the market.

Calliope Villas is a gated condo community located less than 2 blocks to the sandy beach in Laguna Beach, California.  Situated just east of Pacific Coast Highway sits a small three story condo building that is home to 15 luxury condos by the beach.  The complex has a gated entrance from the street level as well as a gated underground entrance for car parking.  The condos range from one to three bedroom units that were built in 1984 and offer 1,267 to 1,800 square feet.  Condo prices currently run $948,880 for a two bedroom, one bath condo.  The last time any of these condos were on the market was in December of 2011.

The Village area of Laguna Beach stretches from the Woods Cove area and continues to the Main Beach area is by far the most sought after residential area for homes in the one to two million range near the beach.  What makes this area so great is the location and the style of homes that can be found here.  First, the location is within a several block radius to the beach and the many shopping and resturants that line Coast Highway.  The homes in this area date back to the early part of the century with many Spanish and bunglaow style homes built in the 1920's.  Ocean view homes are best found closest to the beach as the topography tends to be rather flat and doesn't afford itself to having big ocean views.

For those who have spent anytime in the Laguna Beach area or thinking about buying a home then the name Chris Abel is sure to come up in conversation.  Chris Abel is the famed Laguna Beach architect that has designed some of the most beautiful structures in Laguna Beach.  Many associate him for his contemporary single family homes but often forget that he has also designed residential condos as well.

The South Laguna Bluffs area is a small pocket of homes in Laguna Beach that are located on the ocean front or just blocks to the beach.  The Mission Hospital in Laguna Beach is situated in the middle of this community that offers a nice mixture of residential homes and condos.  There are several ocean front streets located in the South Laguna Bluffs area that include South Coast Hwy and Circle Drive.  Both of these streets offer ocean front homes that sit high on the bluff as pictured below.

There are also ocean front and ocean view condo buildings located in this area that include the luxury Laguna Lido building.  Condos here normally will be priced in the $2 to $3 million dollar range and offer resort style amenities including a community pool,

The Creekside condo community is located near the Aliso Creek area in South Laguna and hence gets it's name from the creek the runs directly below the building as pictured below in white.  These are ocean view condos that located directly down to the Aliso Creek beach area and located at the end of Wesley Drive in Laguna Beach.  The condos were first constructed in 1964 and offer two to three bedroom units.  The average size for these condos will be from 1,355 to 1,600 square feet with great orientation towards the ocean.

The views are simply beautiful as the photo below was taken from a newly listed condo located on the very bottom front row and listed for sale at $849,500.  The condo features 3 bedrooms, 2 baths with 1,355 square feet.  I have
